Quiet luxury is being drowned out by the extravagance of Schiaparelli’s SS24 RTW

Designer Daniel Roseberry has once again proved his vital importance to the house of Schiaparelli with his spectacular Paris Fashion Week showing.

In a mesmerising scene, iconic supermodel Shalom Harlow opened the show descending from a staircase in a zip-up dress with gold detailing on the right shoulder line as other faces like Amber Valletta and Irina Shayk followed suit.

The show began with an incredible array of gold accessories paired with nudes and blacks and slowly moved onto pinstripes. The eye-catching lobster and crab gold necklaces and their references to Elsa Schiaparelli made for a particular talking point. This being after the designer noted that he would never use the lobster as he felt it to be too obvious a reference back when he first entered the brand as creative director back in 2019.

None other than Rosalia and Kylie Jenner were seated in the front row. Kylie, having donned the brand on multiple occasions, certainly stole the show in a low-cut floor-length gown custom-made by the collection’s designer. This silver ensemble featured a keyhole cutout on the chest and was paired with nude shoes and gold earrings from the brand.

Kendall Jenner closed the show while her sister Kylie cheered her on in a stunning knee-length red dress decorated with sequins paired with a nude heel and sky-high hair marking the extravagance of this collection.

The designer brought the house down in what was very much an ode to the brand’s founder. The revival of the instantly recognisable  Salvador Dalí lobster, popularised in the 1930s when it was worn by the Duchess of Windsor, proved a hit for fans old and new.
