Trending on TikTok: is the famous Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil worth it?

When Dior’s Addict Lip Glow Oil was released in 2020, it went viral and catapulted lip oils into our make-up bags for the first time.

Then supermodel Bella Hadid endorsed the product and it blew up on socials and was an instant sell-out.  Fast forward to 2024, the lip oil is still hugely popular so Fashion North decided to find out why it has stood the test of time.

Here’s our review:

The lip oil comes in six colours: 000 Universal Clear, 020 Mahogany, 001 Pink, 004 Coral, 015 Cherry and 012 Rosewood.

According to Dior’s website the product is described as a nourishing lip oil with an intense gloss that is colour awakening, it deeply protects your lips and brings out their natural colour.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil 012 Rosewood – £32.

Some of the key ingredients are cherry oil, sunflower wax and shea beauty which help to stop your lips from drying out and soften and revitalise the lips. It states the lip oil is not greasy or sticky which can be an issue with glosses.

Now to the important part – would I recommend this product?

Having used this lip oil for over a year now I can safely say yes! However, it is not life-changing or a necessity.

Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil 012 Rosewood – £32.

The Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in Rosewood is undoubtedly fantastic, it provides you with long-lasting moisture that does indeed soften and nourish your lips whilst giving you a beautiful shine and a luxurious feeling. I use this product during the day as it gives a little hint of colour and shine to my lips but it’s also great for night if you prefer sheer lip coverage. The description of it enhancing your natural colour is true as the shade resembles my normal lip shade but is slightly more noticeable, so if you want more colour this is not the lip oil for you.

A pet peeve of many is sticky lip glosses and this product avoids this. When first applied there is a slight bit of stickiness, but it soon goes away. Once I finish this tube, I will rebuy but as I mentioned before I don’t believe this is essential. If you want to treat yourself then definitely buy this product! But otherwise, I would say buy a cheaper alternative, as much as it is great it isn’t worth the £32 price, though it does last if you don’t use it every day.

Fashion North has sourced some cheaper alternatives that can give you similar results for less money!
