CoppaFeel : The first female nipple is about to be bared on daytime TV

A woman’s nipple is about to be shown on daytime TV for the first time. You may think this isn’t breaking news but the event is being viewed as a definite win for women. Instagram has previously come under fire for banning nipples on Instagram, and the Free The Nipple movement became a global phenomenon last year with thousands daring to bare.

The nipples will be set free on Saturday 28 October as part of the CoppaFeel! Campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Designed to show the importance of checking your breasts by hand. The advert shows every day objects such as doughnuts, kittens and jelly being touched, aswell as both men and women checking themselves.

The short film will be shown on TV and in cinemas to help raise awareness of the disease that will affect around one in eight women during their lifetime. Recent research suggests that 80 per cent of young women do not check their breasts regularly, with six out of 10 women saying that they lack confidence that they know how to.

Natalie Kelly, CEO of CoppaFeel! says: “In demonstrating the power of our hands and celebrating our touch as the best tool for checking, we hope to encourage more young people across the UK to adopt a healthy boob-checking habit, which could one day save their life.”

Some come on ladies give yours a check today!
