Get the X Factor’s 80s week look

x factor

At Fashion North we’ve decided to bring you the favourite looks from the latest live show and this week we loved Cheryl’s group of girls. We’ve picked our four favourites from the night and where to find the original clothes too. But don’t worry if some pieces are a little out of your price range because we’ve sourced similar alternatives from our favourite high street stores to bring to you.

1) STEPHANIE NALA

Thanks to 2014’s X-Factor stylist Gemma Lucy Sheppard, we fell head over heels for Stephanie Nala this week. Although we weren’t surprised at her leaving the show, we are definitely going to miss her kitsch outfits. This week saw Stephanie dressed in a very cute ensemble of a Topshop berry printed co-ord which, without a doubt, has almost sold out on the website. Don’t fret, however, because Fashion North have found an even better alternative: the Limited Edition Floral Bardot Crop Top and A-Line Skirt combo and it can be all yours for £45.

2) CHLOE JASMINE

Next on Fashion North’s wish list was Chloe Jasmine’s jazz age ensemble (which completely made us forget about the whole 80s theme but we can forgive her). The classic combination of ebony and feathers made us swoon. Stylist Gemma tweeted: “Darling @CHLOEJASMINEW who wouldn’t look at you in that @MissSelfridge dress”. Yep, you read it right. The dark horse of the competition was kicked out this week but that doesn’t mean you can’t channel her rebellious nature through her affordable fashion.

If you’re heading to a Christmas party this season and want to really splash the cash on something special, why not buy Chloe’s original dress yourself? For £150, this really is a steal and a show-stopper all in one. And if you feel like the winter chills will be a little too much then why not team that dress with a rather edgy alternative to Chloe’s feather shrug (coming in at an eye watering £250) and pop this Topshop leather biker over your dress for £48. Now all you need is a pot of black eyeliner, popping red lipstick and possibly a box of blonde hair dye too.

3) LAUREN PLATT

Up next was X Factor’s sweetheart Lauren Platt dressed in an angelic off-white skater dress from brand AQ/AQ. That said dress is a little too pricey for our budgets (£195 to be exact) so we’ve turned to trusty online retailer ASOS for a very similar steal. This ribbed, flared skater dress for £30 will look very sweet for a possible date or for a casual day out to team with an autumn duster coat and a currently on-trend tartan scarf.

4) FLEUR EAST

Last but not least, Fashion North loved the eccentric look of Fleur East but, well, we definitely can’t afford her outfit even if we saved for months on end. Dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana bralet, Chanel jacket, Moschino belt and DKNY boots we felt every bit of green envy. Yet we have managed to find suitably priced items for a fraction of the designer price.

From ASOS, we’ve sourced this transitional cami crop top (£12) that can be easily dressed up or down depending on where you’re headed. If you’re looking for a bomber jacket to add to your Christmas wish list look no further. Also from ASOS, we’ve found the perfect metallic jacket in a beautiful blue satin (£75). Team these key pieces with a pair of Topshop faux leather shorts (£34). To really nail Fleur’s look and be very, very brave then buy a pair of these killer platform boots for £34.99 from H&M.

Come back next week for a round-up of Fashion North’s favourite picks from the boys on X Factor’s next live show.
