Blogger Hannah Boal has started the process of opening the first plus size vintage boutique in the North East.
The 23-year-old blogger at Fabulously Fat Fashion, is working on opening the store called Big Beautiful Boutique sometime in the new year.
She is hoping to stock vintage reproduction clothing in sizes 14-30 in the first floor of the shop and additionally run make-over days in the top-floor studio, where customers can experience a vintage transformation and take away photographs of the process.
“I am hoping that people will be interested in the concept I have in mind,” Hannah said, “It’s a very niche market but one that isn’t readily available anywhere in the UK at the moment. Some shops have a small plus-size vintage section but I want to dedicate an entire shop to it. I think business owners are scared to take the plunge. Hopefully curvy people in the North-East will appreciate my efforts.”
The blogger was aiming to open the shop before Christmas but after problems with funding, this became impossible, so Hannah hopes to open the store in the new year.
