The best feature of Benefit Cosmetics? The packaging!
The Dallas bronzer looks impressive in its gold box with a horse silhouette printed onto the lid; think warm beach meets horseback riding into the sunset.
Up against Dallas is Maybelline Dream Sun which is packaged in clear plastic with ‘DREAM SUN’ plastered across the lid in gold lettering; hardly luxury in my opinion.
The products can’t be purely based on their packaging though, of course.
Priced at £23.50, Dallas glides onto cheeks perfectly to create a dewy, sun kissed effect. It has high pigmentation, it’s easily blended, stays in place and didn’t appeared patchy.
Although, be aware that this is a shimmery product, so if you prefer a matte finish then this won’t be for you . The addition of a brush packed inside the box makes the application process easier, stress free and great if you are on the go.
Maybelline lets itself down in this department with no brush included, although you have to remember is is only £7. The product applied easily and had a nice colour, but it didn’t maintain its natural glow finish as long as Dallas and left me with patchy cheeks half way through the day.
Overall Verdict: Benefit’s Dallas is definitely the winner in this race.
